MARKUP PERCENTAGE  SETUP

The Estimating Standards Window has Several Components
Stock Overage

The Stock Overage component allows you to select the percentage amount of additional stock needed based on run length.  Once the software calculates how many impressions will be required, it uses this curve to determine how many sheets will be needed.  Runs in excess of 32000 impressions use the same percentage as a 32000 impression run.
Finishing Efficiency

The Finishing Efficiency based on Stock Caliper component allows you to alter the finishing cost based on different caliper stock.  For example: 10000 sheets of a 24 pt board will take longer to cut than 10000 sheets of 10 pt.  The factor you enter in this section will be applied to the actual finishing cost to offset this difference.
Bindery Upcharge

The Bindery Upcharge based on the Number of Pages component allows you to offset the increased cost of binding larger books.  This increase is applied to the standard bindery cost for each type of book: i.e. saddle stitch, perfect bound, etc.
Cutting Standards

The program calculates the approximate number of cuts required for each quote.  The information entered into the Cutting Standards table is then applied to calculate the cutting costs.  You have the option to include or omit this cost on each quote.
Misc Costs

The costs for packing, shipping, and special inks are entered here.  These costs are then applied to each quote.  You have the option to either include or omit packing and shipping costs on each quote.
