The "yestimator" uses a cost plus markup method in determining the quotes for print jobs.  In order to provide an accurate estimate, you need to enter your actual costs into several data tables.  The markup percentages are entered into a separate data table, and the combination of these two factors is used to determine the final quote.   Some of the data tables used by the program require that information be entered before you begin estimating.  In order to access these data tables, click the Edit dropdown on the main screen and select the desired table.  These tables are listed below, and specific instructions on each can be displayed by clicking on the link:     Customers - used to store specific information about your current and potential customers Printing Presses - used to store specific information about the presses in your shop  Paper - used to store information about the various stocks that you might use  Pre Press - contains cost information on various prepress operations  Finishing -  contains cost information on various finishing operations  Binding - contains cost information on binding operations, both in-house and external  Markup Percentages - determines how actual costs are marked up for quotes Estimating Standards - various standards used to adjust costs based on ordered quantities Multiple Quantities - determines quantities to be used for supplying multiple quantity quotes Logo Setup - allows you to enter what will appear at the top of printed quotes
