The Press Setup screen allows you to enter
specific information about each of your printing presses. This information
is used by the software to calculate what size stock to use, how much presstime
will be required, and the setup and run costs associated with the press.
Your presses are displayed in a list on tha right sode of the screen.
By clicking on a press, the specific information for that press can be
displayed and edited. To enter a new press, click the New
button. To remove a press, click the Delete button.
![]() Press Name - your press description Total Printing Units - the number of printing units on this press Perfecting Units - the number of perfecting units on this press for back side printing Dedicated Coating Unit - check if this press has a dedicated coating unit not used for printing Maximum Sheet Width - the maximum sheet size in the press direction (cutoff) Minimum Sheet Width - the minimum sheet size in the press direction (cutoff) Maximum Sheet Length - the maximum sheet size in the cross direction Minimum Sheet Length - the minimum sheet size in the cross direction Avg Impr/Hour - the average number of impressions per hour that can be run on this press MakeReady/Unit (min) - the amount of time in minutes for makeready on one unit Washup/Unit (min) - the amount of time in minutes for washup on one unit Actual Cost/Hour - the actual cost to man and run this press for one hour Minimum Run Cost - the minimum cost to put a job on this press Plate Cost / each - the cost to make one plate for this press Film Cost / each - the cost of film for one plate on this press Ink Cost/Color/1000 Impr - the average ink cost per color to print 1000 impressions on this press. Entries are for Light, Medium, Heavy, and Full ink coverage Coating Costs - the setup, cost per 1000 impressions, and plate costs for up to 4 different coatings used on this press Once you have entered the information for all of your presses, click the OK button to save the press information and close the printing press window. |
